Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of sociodemographical data of "obsessive compulsive disorder " (OCD) with the resistance related to the treatment of the patients whom were diagnosed as OCD according to DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). Methods: In this study, patients were divided into two groups. One group were consisting of 20 patients who were resistant to the treatment. The other group consisting of 28 patients was not resistant to the treatment. Structured Clinical Interview for DSM (SCID), YBOC-S and structured sociode-mographical data form were applied to both of the groups. Results: Most patients age was between 18-30 years old. First group had 22 (78.5%) patients and second group had 12 (60%) patients in this age group. First group had 4 (14.3%) migrants, but second group had 8 (40%) migrants. There was not statistically significant difference between them (p=0.073). Conclusion: There was no significant difference between two groups even though resistant cases were higher in migratory patients.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental -Disorders ) tanı ölçütlerine göre "obsesif kompulsif bozukluk" (OKB) tanısı alan hastalarda sosyodemografîk tedaviye dirençle ilişkisi saptanmaya çalışılmıştır.
