A case of behcet's disease presented with hemoptysia associated isolated pulmonary artery aneurysm

İzole pulmoner arter anevrizmasına bağlı hemoptizi ile ortaya çıkan behçet hastalığı

Abstract

Behcet's disease, a systemic disease with the attacks and a long-term course of multiple organ involvement showing the basic pathology of systemic vasculitis. 61 years old male patient referred to our clinic with the complaints of ongoing cough and hemoptysis for 2 months. Right lung X-ray radiographs revealed increased round density on the level of lower lobe. On the contrast thoracic computed tomography, right lower lobe pulmonary artery aneurysm with a diameter of 24x17 mm was detected. Cyclophosphamide treatment was started with a diagnosis of Behcet's disease because of positive pathergy test. At the 10th months of the treatment, we observed the patient's control thorax tomography was in normal limit without any other symptoms.

Özet

Behçet hastalığı, ataklarla birlikte uzun süreli bir seyir gösteren çok sayıda organı tutabilen temel patolojisi vaskülit olan sistemik bir hastalıktır. 61 yaşında erkek hasta, 2 aydır devam eden öksürük ve hemoptizi şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Posteroanterior akciğer grefisinde sağ akciğer alt zon seviyesinde yuvarlak dansite artışı saptandı. Toraks tomografisinde, sağ alt lob pulmoner arterinde 24x17 mm çapında anevrizma tespit edildi. Paterji testi pozitif bulunan hastaya Behçet hastalığı düşünülerek siklofosfamid tedavisi başlandı. Tedavinin 10. ayında herhangi bir semptomu bulunmayan hastanın kontrol toraks tomografisi normal olarak izlendi.
