Economic performance and unit production costs in greenhouse farms producing cucumber in silifke

Silifke' de hıyar yetiştiren sera işletmelerinin ekonomik performansları ve birim ürün maliyetleri

Abstract

Economic performance and unit production costs of glass greenhouse farms involved in production of cucumber in Silifke district (Mersin) were investigated in this study. The average productivity was found to be 12,8 kg/m2. The average unit production cost of cucumber per kg was computed as 781.957 Turkish Liras (TL). Family labor was the most significant items of production costs and constituted 40,86% of production costs. Fertilizers and pesticides comprised 9,00% and 8,49% of unit production costs respectively. The average gross margin and return to total capital per farm were calculated as 2.696.010.871 TL and 287.009.321 TL respectively. Net profit was found to be negative when family labor was included as a cost item.

Özet

Mersin İli Silifke îlçesi'nin araştırma alanı olarak seçildiği bu araştırmada, hıyar yetiştirilen cam sera işletmelerinin ekonomik performansı ve üretim maliyetlerinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu işletmelerde verim 12,8 kg/m2 ve hıyarın ortalama maliyeti 781.957 TL/kg olarak hesaplanmıştır. İşletmelerde en önemli masraf unsuru aile işgücü ücret karşılığı olup; bu masraf unsuru, toplam üretim masrafları içerisinde %40,86 pay almıştır. Bunu sırasıyla %9,00 pay ile gübre masrafı ve % 8,49 ile ilaç masrafı izlemektedir. Bu işletmelerde, bir üretim dönemi için brüt kar 2.696.010.871 TL ve saf hasıla 287.009.321 TL hesaplanmıştır. Aile işgücü ücret karşılığı, üretim masrafları arasında yer aldığında net kar, negatif bulunmuştur.
