Abstract

Despite the fact that all weapons are produced in the Middle Ages Islamic world, sometimes due to the shortage of the energy source required for this production, sometimes the weapons were purchased from abroad due to more luxurious needs or political, social, religious reasons. This demand of the Islamic world has faced obstacles, especially from Christian Europe and Byzantium. Nevertheless, these obstacles did not prevent the weapon trade, they only transformed this form of trade from legal to smuggling. The sale of weapons was not only a merchant bar, but also a trade zone where lawyers, official control officers, and even rulers themselves were closely related. In this article, the focus was on the characteristics of weapons, the production methods, or the weapons trade and certain factors affecting this trade rather than the regions where they were produced
