Abstract
Benign parotitis gland enlargement is a rare postoperative complication. Probable causes seen after neurosurgery are: anatomical changes related to patient position, peroperative systemic dehydratation therapy, drugs, trauma related to intubation and parasympathetic stimulation, retrograd insuflation of anaesthetic gases and air through the Stensen duct. In this case report, possible etiologies of a patient diagnosed with sieloadenitis following neurosurgery operation will be discussed.
Özet
Benign parotis bezi büyümesi, nadir postoperatif komplikasy onlar dan birisidir. Nörocerrahi sonrası benign parotis bezi büyümesinin muhtemel sebepleri; hasta pozisyonuna bağlı anatomik değişiklikler, operasyon sırasında uygulanan sistemik dehidratasyon tedavisi, ilaçlar, entübasyona bağlı oluşabilecek travma ve parasempatik stimülasyon, Stensen kanalından retrograd olarak anestetik gaz veya hava insuflasyonudur. Bu olgu sunumunda, nörocerrahi sonrası postoperatif sieloadenit tanısı alan hastadaki muhtemel sebepler tartışılmıştır.
