The Function of Knowledge in Respect of Knowledge Sociology and a Suggestion of Model

Abstract
In this study the concept of knowledge has been defined in the field of knowledge sociology. Then an analysis related to social functions of the knowledge has been given. Finally, a metaphorical model has been suggested, which is expected to show the relations among knowledge, society and individual, and the evaluations gathered from the study has been submitted under the title of conclusion
Özet
Bu çalışmada bilgi sosyolojisi çerçevesinde bilgi kavramının tanımı yapılmaktadır. Daha sonra bilginin toplumsal işlevlerine ilişkin bir çozümleme sunulmaktadır. Nihayet; bilgi, toplum ve birey arasında cereyan eden ilişkileri göstereceği umulan metaforik bir model önerilmekte ve elde edilen değerlendirmeler sonuç başlığı altında toparlanmaktadır.
