Assessment of Psychopathological Processes According to the Transdiagnostic Cognitive Behavioural Approach: Validity and Reliability of the Turkish Version of the Cognitive and Behavioural Processes Questionnaire

Transdiyagnostik Bilişsel Davranışçı Yaklaşıma Göre Psikopatolojik Süreçlerin Değerlendirilmesi: Bilişsel ve Davranışçı Süreçler Ölçeği’nin Türkçe Sürümünün Geçerliliği ve Güvenilirliği

Abstract

In recent years, regardless of the diagnostic categories instead of disorder-specific approaches, the primary aspects of comorbidity among the prominent aspects of the transdiagnostic approach (TA), which advocates targeting these processes in treatment and identifying common processes underlying psychopathological signs and symptoms is important to solve the dilemma that will be treated as a subthreshold symptoms in order to offer treatment to people who do not fully meet any diagnosis. Although there are many research articles on what are the transdiagnostic processes and the effectiveness of the TA, assessment tools that can be used to evaluate these processes collectively are limited to the Cognitive Behavioral Processes Questionnaire (CBPQ). Before this scale came into use, researchers tried to identify common processes with different methods. CBPQ was developed by Patel et al. as a self-report scale that allows to question the core processes previously defined in the literature, in line with the problematic areas that people face, based on the cognitive behavioral theory. In this study, it was aimed to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of CBPQ.

Özet

Son yıllarda hastalığa özgül yaklaşımların yerine, tanı kategorilerinden bağımsız olarak, psikopatolojikbelirti ve bulguların altında yatan ortak süreçlerin tespit edilmesini ve tedavide bu süreçlerin hedefalınmasını savunan transdiyagnostik (tanı ötesi, öte tanısal) yaklaşım (TY) öne çıkmıştır. TY, eşhastalanmadurumlarında hangi bozukluğun öncelikli olarak tedavi edileceği ikilemini çözmesi ve eşik altı belirtileriolduğu için herhangi bir tanıyı tam olarak karşılamayan kişilere tedavi önerilebilmesi gibi açılardanönemlidir. Transdiyagnostik süreçlerin neler olduğuna ve transdiyagnostik yaklaşımın etkinliğine dairçok sayıda araştırma alan yazında mevcut olmasına rağmen bu süreçleri toplu şekilde değerlendirmeküzere kullanılabilecek değerlendirme araçları Bilişsel ve Davranışçı Süreçler Ölçeği (BDSÖ) ile sınırlıdırBu ölçeğin kullanıma girmesinden önce araştırmacılar farklı yöntemlerle ortak süreçleri saptamayaçalışmışlardır. BDSÖ Patel ve ark. tarafından bilişsel davranışçı kuramı temel alarak kişilerin karşılaştıklarısorun alanlarıyla uyumlu olacak şekilde, daha önce alan yazında tanımlanmış olan çekirdek süreçlerisorgulamaya imkân veren, öz bildirime dayalı bir ölçek olarak geliştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmada BDSÖ’nünTürkçe versiyonunun geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
