Investigation of IDESTATIK computer program in terms of Turkish earthquake code

Abstract

In this study, the popular IDESTATIK computer program which is used in building project offices is investigated in terms of the analysis aspect of Turkish Earthquake Code. To begin with several building structural svstems are solved by SAP2000 which is well known general purpose structural computer program. These results are than compared with those obtained by IDESTATIK program. In addition to this, the theory on which the IDESTATIK program is claimed to be based on is also studied. Therefore, to what extend the analysis aspect of Turkish Earthquake Code is fulfilled by the popular IDESTATIK computer program is investigated.

Özet

Bu çalışmada inşaat mühendisliği bina proje bürolarında kullanılan İDESTATİK bilgisayar programının deprem yönetmeliği analiz hesapları bakımından irdelenmesi yapılmaktadır. Önce çeşitli bina taşıyıcı sistemleri SAP2000 ile çözülmüştür. Kesin olduğu garanti edilen bu sonuçlar ile İDESTATİK programı sonuçları karşılaştırılarak irdeleme yapılmıştır. Ayrıca İDESTATİK programının dayandığı ileri sürülen teorik temeller de incelenmiştir. Böylece deprem yönetmeliğinin analiz hesaplarında belirtilen hususların İDESTATİK programı tarafından ne ölçüde yerine getirildiği araştırılmaktadır.
