CTH 676: “Purification Ritual” for Nerik City

Abstract
Our research includes the documents and their contents of the CTH 676 Purification Ritual of Nerik as well as philological assessments. It is evaluated that luri- word mentioned in such documents can describe a “deep disaster” lived in the historical process of the city. The textual group of cult practices for the purification of the city of Nerik is an example of the continuity of Hatti-Hittite religious traditions.
Özet
Araştırmamız CTH 676 Nerik’in Arınma Ritüeli’ne ait belgelerin filolojik değerlendirmeleriyle birlikte verilerini ve içeriklerini kapsamaktadır. Söz konusu belgelerde geçen luri- kelimesinin, kentin tarihsel sürecinde yaşanan “derin/büyük bir felaket”i tanımlayabileceği değerlendirilmektedir. Nerik kentinin arınmasına yönelik kült uygulamalarının yer aldığı metin grubu Hatti-Hitit dinsel geleneklerinin devamlılığına da örnek oluşturmaktadır.
