Mediator Role of Resilience in the Effect of Personality Traits on Burnout Syndrome in the Tourism Sector

Abstract
In this study, the mediator role of psychological resilience in the effect of the personality traits of the employees in the accommodation establishments on the burnout syndrome was tried to be examined. In order to test the mediator role of psychological resilience in the effect of personality traits on the burnout syndrome, a field study was conducted on 210 employees of a five-star hotel and data were collected by questionnaire technique. SPSS 25.0 and AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) programs were used for statistical analysis of the obtained data. In this context, it was concluded that psychological resilience has a direct negative effect on personality traits and burnout.
Özet
Bu çalışma ile konaklama işletmelerindeki işgörenlerin kişilik özelliklerinin tükenmişlik sendromu üzerindeki etkisinde psikolojik dayanıklılığın aracı rolü incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kişilik özelliklerinin tükenmişlik sendromu üzerindeki etkisinde psikolojik dayanıklılığın aracı rolünün test edilmesi amacıyla beş yıldızlı bir otelin 210 işgöreni üzerinde bir alan araştırması yapılmış ve anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizleri için SPSS 25.0 ve AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) programları kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda psikolojik dayanıklılığın kişilik özellikleri ile tükenmişlik üzerinde doğrudan negatif bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
