Rhinomanometric evaluation of nasal obstruction surgery

Abstract
Nasal obstruction is a symptom. Therefore objektive techniques are needed for an accurate diagnosis. Altho¬ ugh physichal examination is a valuable method for the evaluation of nasal obstruction, it is somewhat subjective. Rhinoma- nometry is an objective method for the evaluaton of nasal obstruction. 19 patients who underwent septal because of nasal obstruction were evaluated by rhinoinanometric measurements in the pre- and postoperative period in order to observe the efficacy of surgery.

Burun tıkanıklığı sübjektif bir semptomdur. Dolayısıyla doğru teşhisi için objektif metodlar gereklidir. Fizik muaye¬ne her ne kadar teşhiste yararlı olsa da, yine sübjektif bir metoddur. Rinomanometri burun tıkanıklığını objektif olarak de-ğerlendirebilen bir ölçüm metododur. Burada burun tıkanıklığı nedeniyle septal cerrahi uygulanan 19 hastanın ameliyat ön¬cesi ve sonrası rinoınanometrik ölçümleri yapılarak, cerrahinin etkinliği araştırılmıştır.
