The effects of anesthesia on auditory brain-stem response

Abstract
Auditory brainstem response in 26 patients were recorded, before, during and after the surgical operation which was performed under the general anesthesia. Statistically, it is found that teh longation of the wave and interpeak la¬tencies was important. Postoperative wave and interpeak latencies show no change.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde çeşitli nedenlerle genel anestezi altında öpere edilen 26 hastaya preoperatif peroperatif ve postoperatif ABR yapıldı ve genel anestezinin ABR üzerine etkileri incelendi. Peroperatif I, III, V dalga latanslan ile III-V, I-V, I-III interpik latanslannda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı uzamalar kaydedilmiştir. Posto¬peratif dalga ve interpik latanslarda ise, preop. latanslara göre istatistiksel olarak fark saptanmamıştır.
