HLA class I and class II antigens in otosclerosis

Abstract
It has been revealed that genetically and immunologically active, HLA antigens are revelent in many diseases. We have studied twenty patients with otosclerosis to find whether there is any relation with HLA class I and II antigens. The serum levels of HLA-A3, -B35, and -DR1 type in patients with otosclerosis were found statistically much higher than the control group.

Genetik ve otoimmünolojik olaylarda büyük rol oynayan HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigens) antijenlerinin çeşitli hastalıklarla ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Yirmi otosklerozlu hastayı kapsayan bu çalışmada HLA klas 1 ve 11 antijenlerinin otoskleroz ile ilişkisi araştırıldı. HLA - A3, - B35, - DR 1 tiplerinin serum düzeyleri otosklerozlu hastalarda kontrol grubuna göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede yüksek bulundu.
