Abstract
This study present the first translation (in Turkish) of an essay “The Right to Ignore the State” from Herbert Spencer’s first book Social Statics. In his essay Spencer argues that this right is a natural right for everyone. According to Spencer, having the law of equal freedom is the key to the right to ignore the state.

Bu çalışma Herbert Spencer’in ilk kitabından, Social Statics, alınan “Devleti Yok Sayma Hakkı” isimli makalesinin ilk kez Türkçeye olan çevirisini sunar. Bu makalede Spencer, devleti yok sayma hakkının insanlara tanınması gereken doal bir hak olduğunu iddia eder. Spencer’a göre bu hakkı elde etmek, eşit özgürlük yasasından geçer
