HEIDEGGER AND NIHILISM

Abstract

In this paper, with reference to the problem of nihilism which generally becomes evident by Nietzsche, we dealed on Heidegger's consideration of the historical closure and end of a certain way of thinking; and revealed his emphasis on the requirement of making this thinking way (metaphysics) turn over a new beginning (Anfang) in the end. This "end" in Heidegger's thought is supposed to be in accordance with the perspective of finitude of man as a temporal being in Being and Time as well. Therefore this paper embraces both the idea of Heidegger about "return to beginning" in last term of Western metaphysics as an age within the history of Being and man's forever comportment towards a future as a being-inthe-world (i.e. being-toward-death) within the scope of that finitude. Pursuant to these ponderings, as an epilogue for this article, a relationship will be established between considerations of Heidegger and history comprehension of Walter Benjamin who does not think well of Heidegger at all

Bu çalışmada, genel olarak, Nietzsche'yle belirginleşen nihilizm sorunundan hareketle, belirli bir düşünme biçiminin tarihsel kapanışına, sonuna dair Heidegger'in düşünceleri ele alınmakta ve bu düşünme biçiminin (metafiziğin) sonunda onun yeni bir başlangıç (Anfang) yapma gereksinimine ilişkin vurgusu ortaya konmaktadır. Heidegger'in düşüncesinde bu "son"un aynı zamanda, Varlık ve Zaman'daki, zamansal varlık olarak insanın sonluluğu görüşüyle de uyumlu olduğu düşünülmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu yazı, Heidegger'in hem Varlığın tarihindeki bir çağ olarak Batı metafiziğinin sonunda "başlangıca dönmek" fikrini hem de sonluluk çerçevesinde, dünya içinde varlık olarak (yani ölüm yönünde varlık olarak) insanın hep bir geleceğe doğru atılımını ele almaktadır. Bu düşünceler çerçevesinde, yazının sonunda ise, Heidegger'in düşünceleri ile Heidegger hakkında hiç de olumlu düşünceler taşımayan Walter Benjamin'in tarih kavrayışı arasında bir bağlantı kurulmaktadır
