Conceptions of Universe and Death in Turks

Abstract

Some reasons for societies could not build models of thought about their own problems are as follows: 1- Historical consciousness - defined as evaluating past perpetually to build the future - may not be developed adequately. 2-Conception of universe developed in the history of the society may be conceived scantily by those responsible for the generation of thought in the society. 3- The essential connection between the conception of universe and theoretical reflections such as philosophy may not be realized. These essential deficiencies in the generation of thought are the evidence for both the profundity of the crisis in the society and its intellectual dependency. The best solution for any intellectual crisis is to review the conception of universe and reassess the values emerging from it. Therefore, one must first expose on which values the original model of the conception of universe is found, what changes the original model went on in the historical process and which values become perpetual in this process. This essay arose from resolutions briefly mentioned above.

Toplumların kendi sorunları hakkında düşünce modelleri ortaya koyamamalarının nedenlerinden bazıları şunlardır: l - Geleceği kurmak için geçmişi sürekli değerlendirmek anlamında tarih bilincinin yeterince gelişmemiş olması; 2- Toplumun düşünce üretmekle sorumlu kesiminin, toplumun tarihî sürecinde geliştirdiği evren tasavvurunu yeterince kavrayamamış olmaları; 3- Felsefe türünden teorik düşünceler ile evren tasavvuru arasındaki özsel ilişkinin farkına varılmamasıdır. Düşünce üretimiyle ilgili bu türden özsel eksiklikler, toplumdaki bunalımın çok derin olduğunu göstermeleri yanında, toplumun düşünce açısından da bağımlı olduğuna işaret ederler. Düşünce bunalımlarından en önemli çıkış yolu, evren tasavvurunu gözden geçirmek ve evren tasavvurundaki değerleri yeniden tanımlamaktır. Bu işi yapabilmek için, öncelikle, evren tasavvurunun ilk modelinin hangi değerler üzerine oturduğunu ve ilk modelin tarihî süreçte nasıl değiştiğini, hangi değerlerin sürekli hale geldiğini ortaya koymak gerekir. Kısaca özetlediğimiz bu tespitler, aşağıdaki çalışmanın oluşmasını sağlamıştır.
