Abstract
The purpose of this article is to enunciate, in brevity, the endeavors and methods of al-Kindî, al-Fârâbî, Ibn Sînâ and Ibn Rushd, whom by virtue of embracing a reconciliatory approach, had attempted to overcome a problem that has, no doubt, perpetually seized a pivotal significance throughout the history of thought, vis-à-vis, the seeming conflict between Religion and Philosophy or Reason and Faith, through insisting that philosophy and religion are, by no means, conflictingly independent realms of reality; in contrast, they are merely diverse emergences of the same truth.
Özet
Bu yazının amacı, düşünce tarihi boyunca hemen hemen bütün filozofların ilgi alanına giren felsefe-din yahut akıl-nakil ilişkisi problemini uzlaştırmacı bir yaklaşımla aşmaya çalışan Kindî, Fârâbî, İbn Sînâ ve İbn Rüşd’ün, din ile felsefenin birbirine ters düşen iki ayrı gerçeklik (çift hakikat) olmayıp, tersine aynı hakikatin iki farklı tezahürü oldukları tezini temellendirme çabaları ile yöntemlerini kısaca gözden geçirmektir.
