Abstract
In this study, the contribution of mythology to the structure of State in Turkish thought is investigated. We examined the origin myth –myth, concerning the origin of the nation, as one of the justifications used in consolidating the legality of political power-, the superior birth conception depending on this origin-myth and the function of it in the monopoly of a ancestry in state administration.

Bu çalışma, erken dönem Türk düşüncesindeki devlet yapılanmasında mitolojinin sağladığı katkı üzerinedir. Siyasî iktidarın meşrûiyetini temellendirmede kullandığı gerekçelerden biri olan köken miti ve buna bağlı üstün soy tasarımı incelenmiş ve bunun yönetimde soy tekelini sağlamadaki rolü üzerinde durulmuştur.
