EVALUATION OF SKIN PRICK TEST RESULTS OF PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC RHINITIS IN KILIS REGION

KİLİS YÖRESİNDE ALERJİK RİNİTLİ HASTALARDA DERİ PRİCK TESTİ SONUÇLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Objective: The aim of the study was to identify the responsible allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis in Kilis region and contribute to the establishment the map of allergen distribution to the our country. Material AND Methods: We retrospectively evaluated skin prick test results of 214 suspicous of allergic rhinitis patients who applied to Kilis State Hospital Department of Otolaryngology between November 2015 and October 2016. Results: One hundred and fourteen (53.3%) of 214 patients who underwent skin prick test were reactive to at least one allergen. Patients were 72 (63.2%) female and 42 (36.8%) male. The ages of the patients were between 5 and 60 (mean age was 26.2±11.4). Prick test positivity were most freguent in the age group of 21 to 30 years old in 37 patients (32.5%). 41 patients (36%) were reactive to only one allergen and 73 (64%) patients were reactive to more than one allergen. The most common allergens were tree pollens I positive in 46 patients (40.4%) and tree pollens II positive in 40 patients (35.1%). In sequence grass mix, mites I, weeds, cereals were common allergens. Conclusions: The most common allergen was tree pollens in patients with allergic rhinitis in Kilis region.

Amaç: Kilis ilinde alerjik rinitli hastalarda sorumlu alerjen maddeleri tespit edip, ülkemiz alerji haritasına katkıda bulunmak amaçlandı. Yöntem ve Gereçler: Kasım 2015 ile Ekim 2016 tarihleri arasında Kilis Devlet Hastanesi Kulak Burun Boğaz (KBB) polikliniğine alerjik rinit şikayetleri ile başvuran ve cilt prick testi istenen 214 hastanın sonuçları geriye dönük gözden geçirildi. Bulgular: Cilt prick testi uygulanan 214 hastanın 114'ünde (% 53,3) en az bir alerjen madde pozitif saptandı. Cilt testi pozitif saptanan 114 hastanın 72'si (%63,2) kadın, 42'si (%36,8) erkek, yaş ortalaması 26.2±11.4 yıl (yaş dağılımı; 5-60 yıl) idi. Cilt prick testi pozitifliği en fazla 21-30 yaş grubunda 37 (%32,5) kişide tespit edildi. Deri prick testi pozitif gelen 41 (%36) hastada tek alerjene karşı duyarlılık saptanırken, 73 (%64) hastada birden fazla alerjene karşı duyarlılık tespit edildi. Prick testinde en fazla pozitiflik 46 (%40,4) hastayla ağaç polen karışımı I'e ve 40 (%35,1) hastayla ağaç polen karışımı II'ye karşı geldi. Sıklık sırasıyla bunları ot karışım, akar I, yabani otlar, hububatlar izledi. Sonuç: Kilis ilinde alerjik rinitli hastalarda en sık görülen alerjen maddelerin ağaç polenleri olduğu tespit edildi.
