A rare cause of p ersistent f acial pain: ectop ic tooth in nasal cavity

Abstract
Ectopic tooth in the nasal cavity may increase risk of morbidity and its early diagnosis is important. However, sometimes its diagnosis and treatment may be delayed due to atypical symptoms. In this article, we report a case of ectopic tooth in nasal cavity causing persistent facial pain and recurrent sinusitis. Diagnosis was verified with computed tomography and the ectopic tooth was excised endoscopically.
Özet
Nazal kavitede ektopik diş morbidite riskini artırabilir ve erken tanısı önemlidir. Ancak bazen atipik semptomlar nedeni ile tanı ve tedavisi gecikebilmektedir. Bu yazıda, yüzde persistan ağrı ve tekrarlayan sinüzite neden olan, nazal kavitede ektopik diş olgusu sunuldu. Tanı bilgisayarlı tomografi ile doğrulandı ve ektopik diş endoskopik olarak eksize edildi.
