Abstract
Glomus tumor is one of the least seen benign cutaneous lesions and results from glomus particles which are located in stratum retinaculum of dermiş. Especially, paroxysmal local ache in the nights, growing sensibility to touching and heat are important clinic symptoms. Tumors are generally smaller than 1 cm in diameter, blue-red colored and painful nodules. One third of cases may not show any lesion. Three fourth of the cases have been detected on the hand and most of these cases have subungual localization and may cause nail deformations. It can be seen in the third and fourth decades mostly and women are affected 2 to 4 times more than men. Effective treatment is surgical excission. Recurrence can be seen. In this paper, glomus tumor which is a rarely seen painful tumor, which has been detected in a 33 years old, male patient, in his right forearm, has been presented and discussed.
