Abscess based Bacteroides fragilis following a vaccine

Abstract
The formation of a bacterial abscess following a vaccine due to using contaminated syringes is a common complication. Anaerobic abscess is a rare instance of these bacterial abscesses. Our study involves a 10-year-old patient who suffered for 3 months from pain and swelling in the left arm following a vaccine due to an anaerobic abscess in the soft tissue deriving from bacteroides fragilis. The evaluation and surgical treatment of this case is presented.
Özet
Kontamine iğne ve enjektörler ile yapılan aşılamalar sonrası, enjeksiyon yerinde bakteriyel apse oluşumu sıkça rastlanan komplikasyonlardandır. Bakteriyel apse etkenleri arasında anaerob bakteriler nadir olarak görülebilmektedir. Çalışmamızda 10 yaşındaki bir olguda sol kolda aşı sonrası ortaya çıkan ve 3 aydır ağrı, şişlik yakınması ile kendini gösteren bacteroides fragilis'e bağlı anaerob yumuşak doku apsesinin değerlendirilmesi ve cerrahi tedavisi sunulmaktadır.
