Abstract

Heal Neo-Bladder (Stanford Pouch) Formation By Using Absorbable Poly-GIA Stapler- Orthotopic neobladder replacement has been widely used after cystoprostatectomy. The relative complexity of these operations has always been a major drawback for urologists to offer their patients this kind of treatment. We fashioned the previously described Stanford pouch by using absorbable Poly-GIA staples in 7 patients. The duration for reservoir formation ranged between 12 and. 25 minutes. None of the patients had complications that necessitated additional treatment. Despite the increase in cost, the use of Poly-GIA stapler simplifies the technique and cause considerable time saving. Our preliminary experience suggests that ileal pouches formed with such a technique have comparable success with those formed by manual suturing and further compared studies are justified.

Sistoprostatektomi sonrasında ortotopik mesane replasmanı yaygın olarak uygulanmaktadır. Bu operasyonların nispeten kompleks oluşu birçok ürologun hastalara bu seçeneği sunma konusundaki cesaretini kırmaktadır. Daha önce tanımlanmış olan Stanford poş operasyonu 7 hastadaPoly-GIA absorbe olabilen stapler ile oluşturuldu. Rezervuar oluşturmak için geçen süre 12 ile 25 dakika arasında idi. Hiçbir olguda ek tedavi gerektiren komplikasyon olmadı. Poly-GIA kullanımı ek maliyete neden olmakla birlikte tekniği daha basitleştirmekte ve önemli zaman tasarrufu sağlamaktadır. İlk izlenimlerimize göre, bu şekilde yapılan ileal poşlar elle dikilerek yapılan özdeşleri ile fonksiyonel olarak kıyaslanabilir başarıya sahiptir ve bu konudaki karşılaştırmalı çalışmaları cesaretlendirmektedir.
