Abstract
Histopathological Changes in the Rat Bladder After Pulse Dye Laser Application- To evaluate the histopathological injury at the adjacent tissues during laser lithotripsy, laser energy was directed into the rat bladder by the Lithognost machine zuhich has afeed-back systemfor discriminating stones. The histologic changes were examined at 40, 80, and 120 m] energy levels and 10, 30, and 50 pulse rates. While 40 m] energy caused minimal epithelial damage, the amount of injury increased in parallel to the energy level and pulse rate. Epithelial defect and extensive submucosal hemorrhage and edema were observed at 50 pulses and 120 mj energy level. Although the scattered energy is minimal in laser lithotripsy due to the feedback system, urothelial damage is likely to occur at least histologically.
Özet
Laser litotripsi sırasında, çevre dokularda oluşabilecek histopatolojik hasarı saptamak için taş tanıma özelliği olan Lithognost cihazı ile ratların mesane duvarına laser uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan enerji, 40, 80, 120 mü, atım sayısı 10, 30 ve 50 iken histopatolojik etkiler incelenmiştir. Enerji 40 mü iken minimal epitelyal hasar oluşurken, ortaya çıkan hasarın enerji gücü ve atım sayısı ile artış gösteriği saptandı. Enerji 120 mJ'a, atım sayısı 50'ye çıktığında epitel kaybı, submukozal yaygın kanama ve ödem olduğu gözlendi. Laser litotripsi, taş tanıma sistemi sayesinde çevreye ulaşan enerjisi çok azalmasına rağmen histopatolojik olarak ürotelyumda hasar oluşturabilmektedir.
