Allergic contact dermatitis from temporary henna tattoo: a case report of a child

Abstract
Temporary henna tattooing has been very popular during recent years in children.The frequency of allergic reactions to tattoos has increased. Henna is a natural product derived from the dried leaves of the tree Lawsonia Inermis. Allergic reactions to pure henna is extremely rare. Very often paraphenylenediamine (PPD) is added to henna dye to make the color darker, causes the allergic reactions. We present a 11 year old girl with allergic contact dermatitis due to temporary henna tattoo.

Geçici dövmenin son zamanlarda çocuklar arasında uygulanımı artmaktadır. Bu dövmelere bağlı allerjik reaksiyonlar ın sıklığı a artmaktadır. Kına, Lawsonia Inermis bitkisinin kurutulmuş yapraklarının toz haline getirilmesiyle elde edilir. Saf kınaya bağlı alerji oldukça nadirdir. Allerjik reaksiyon sıklıkla kınaya katılan ve siyah renk oluşumuna yol açan parafenilendiamine (PPD) bağlı oluşmaktad ır. Burada 11 yaşında bir kız çocuğunda geçici dövme sonrası gelişen allerjik kontakt dermatit olgusunu sunuyoruz.
