Abstract
This study was conducted to draw the profile of veterinary medicine in the light of socio-cultural variations and in parallel of occupational sociological assumptions, and to determine the susceptibility of veterinarians to class consciousness and job satisfaction. A questionnaire survey was applied on 94 veterinarians working in various sectors in 22 provinces, most of which were located in the East and Southeast of the country. According to the results of the survey, veterinarians, in general, felt that they belonged to lower or middle classes in the society and they were unsatisfactory in job-life.
