Abstract

Pseudoarthrosis is a disease which is observed in small animals and which, when not treated in the early stage, causes orthopedic disorders. Most of time it doesn't show inflamation. It is characterized with atrophy in the sick foot and with the pain as a result of the increased passive movements of the joint. The indications of lame¬ness disappear within 8 to 10 days. Radiographically, it is also characterized with abnormal bone growth outside the normal joint location where pseudo-joint is formed and with thickness in collum femoris. In this study a pseudoarthrosis case encountered in a 2,5 years old female Van Cat was examined. Since the case was at a chronic stage and the owner of the animal didn't accept any treatment to be carried out, we could not wake a further evaluation of the case.
