Abstract
Seven cats in different breed, age and sex were subjected in our study in the Clinics of Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ankara between 1996 and 1998. According to the clinical and radiological examinations, pancarpal arthrodesis indication was determined in four cases. Distal radial paralysis was detected in four; distal radial paralysis due .to humeral condylar fracture complication in two and permanent flexion, of the carpal joint due to the intraarticular fracture in one case. Carpal arthrodesis was performed by cross pin technique. In the post-operative period PVC coaptation bandage was applied during. 6-8 weeks. After this period, while the required fusion was determined radiographically, mild lateral rotation during weight bearing was observed in three cases.
Özet
