Kopmuş aşil tendosunun fascia lata greftiyle replasmanı

Abstract
This study describes a novel technique for the suitability of using the fascia lata as a graft for replacing ruptured Achilles tendons. Twenty healthy adult New Zealand white rabbits underwent full-thickness resection of the Achilles tendon in the left limb proximal to the calcaneal tubercle. Approximately 1 cm tendon portion was removed. A sheet of fascia lata from the cranio-lateral aspect of the femur in the same leg was transplanted to bridge the resected tendon segment in order to act as a scaffold for collagen and fibroblast to grow within the gap in 10 rabbits. Tissue maturity and inflammation were evaluated histologically and compared with control group (n=10) in which tendon ends were sutured only. In the study group, gap closure between tendon ends was a consistent finding in all repair sites, providing a strong repair during the convalescent period that enabled the rabbits to have normal locomotion subsequently.

Bu çalışma kopmuş Asil tendosunun yerine fascia lata grefti kullanımının uygunluğu için yeni bir tekniği tarif etmektedir. Yirmi tane yetişkin Yeni Zelanda beyaz tavşanında sol bacaktaki Asil tendosu tuberculum calcaneus'un proksimalinden tam rezeke edildi. Yaklaşık 1 cm tendo parçası uzaklaştırıldı. On adet tavşanda, aynı bacağın kraniolateralinden fascia lata parçasr çıkarılarak rezeke edilen tendo arasında köprü oluşturacak şekilde aradaki boşluğun kollajen ve fibroblast üremesi için destek sağlaması amacıyla transplante edildi. Doku olgunlaşması ve inflammasyonu histolojik yönden incelendi ve tendo uçları sadece iplikle dikilen kontrol grubu (n=10) ile karşılaştırıldı. Çalışma grubunun hepsinde, iyileşme döneminde tavşanların normal hareket ettiği ve tendo uçları arasındaki boşluğun sağlam doku ile dolduğu görüldü.
