HBsAg, Anti-HCV and Anti HIV Seroprevalence of the Patients in Balıkesir Atatürk State Hospital

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the rates of HBV, HCV, HIV and anti-HBs seroprevalance in the people those admitted to Balıkesir Atatürk State Hospital between January 2011 and December 2012, to contribute to the nation- wide epidemiological data. Materials and Methods: Blood samples were analyzed with ELISA method (Trit- urus) and Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immunoassay method (Architect İ1000). Results: For HBsAg, 49406 samples were analyzed and 1372 (2.77%) of these sam- ples, for Anti-HCV 45130 samples were analyzed and 134 (0.29%) of these samples, for antiHIV 1/2 42322 samples were analyzed and 2 (0.004%) of these samples, for Anti-HBs 10727 samples were analyzed and 4555 (42.46%) of these samples were positive. Conclusion: These finding suggest that our region is a middle endemic region.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Ocak 2011 ve Aralık 2012 tarihleri arasında Balıkesir Atatürk Devlet Hastanesine başvuran hastalarda; HBsAg, Anti-HCV, antiHIV ve anti-HBs seroprevalansının oranlarının belirlenmesi ve bu oranların ülkemiz verilerine katkı sağlaması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Alınan kan örnekleri Triturus mikro ELISA cihazında ve Archi- tect İ1000 cihazında makro ELISA olarak çalışılmıştır. Bulgular: HBsAg açısından incelenen 49406 serum örneğinin 1372 (%2,77)sinde, Anti-HCV açısından incelenen 45130 serum örneğinin 134 (%0,29)ünde, antiHIV 1/2 açısından incelenen 42322 örneğin sadece 2 (%0,004)sinde, anti-HBs açısından incelenen 10727 serum örneğinin 4555 (%42.46)sinde pozitiflik saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Bu bulgular bölgemizin orta endemisitede olduğunu düşündürmektedir.
