Abstract
The illusion in the choice of which is beautiful has been a question from the ancient Greece to present. Even if beauty can be understood by tasting, hearing and touching, it is mostly related with seeing. On the other hand, Whether beauty is in the eye of the beholder or beauty is in thing which is seen is an important problem for philosophers preoccupying their minds. It is crucial to understand the difference between good and beautiful. Sometimes beautiful is called as good or good is called as beautiful. Whereas what is expected from both is benefit, Umberto Eco considers both of them equal in the pot of taking pleasure. While beauty is related directly with the fields of art and esthetic, it maintains its presence in almost all fields of life. This keeps the concept always on the agenda and makes it question of debate. In this article, we tried to examine how the philosophers and artists who need to talk about “beauty” handle this concept.
