Abstract
Introduction: Steinstrasse is very rare in children. Up to date, three patients with spontaneous Steinstrasse associated with distal renal tubular acidosis (DRTA) have been reported in the literature. Herein, we report a child, presenting with Steinstrasse without history of shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) and DRTA. A 12-year old boy presented with left renal pelvic stones and left distal ureteric Steinstrasse. Serum and urine analysis revealed completely normal findings and no signs of renal tubular acidosis. The child was rendered stone free by ureteroscopy followed by ESWL.
