Abstract

Introduction: Ureteral stents are used frequently in urological practices safely and easily but they can cause some complications. Forgotten ureteral double J stents still represent a serious problem. This can cause complications like calcification, infection, migration, hydronephrosis and fragmentation. Forgotten ureteral double J stents are not rare. Patients must be informed about stent and they should be in close follow-up. We presented here 3 patients with forgotten ureteral double J stents.

Özet

Üroloji pratiğinde oldukça sık kullanılan üreteral çift J stentler güvenilir ve pratik olmalarına karşın bazı istenmeyen yan etkilere neden olabilirler. Hasta tarafından unutulan veya hastanın ilgisizliği nedeniyle takip edilemeyen ve vücutta uzun süre kalan üreteral çift J stentler günümüzde halen sorun olmaya devam etmektedir. Enkrüstasyon, enfeksiyon, migrasyon, hidronefroz ve fragmantasyon gibi istenmeyen yan etkilere neden olabilirler. Unutulan üreteral çift J stentler ürolojik pratikte ender değildir. Bu yüzden kateter yerleştirilen hastaların takiplerinin dikkatli yapılması gereklidir. Bu olgu sunumunda unutulmuş üreteral çift J stentli 3 hasta tartışılarak ve ilgili yayınlar gözden geçirildi.
