Abstract
In this study, primarily the current situation and the problems of Turkish higher education will be examined. Moreover, proposals concerning the vision higher education in connection with solving related problems will be set out. Therefore, it will be stated that external efforts like reforms, renewal and restructuring have not been enough to solve the problems of higher education in Turkey, from now on higher education system needs internal transformation namely regeneration.
Özet
Bu çalışmada öncelikle Türkiye'de yükseköğretimin mevcut durumu ve sorunları ele alınacaktır. Ayrıca bu sorunların çözümüne ve Türkiye'nin yükseköğretim vizyonuna dair öneriler geliştirilecektir. Böylelikle, Türk yükseköğretiminde reform, yenilenme ve yeniden yapılanma gibi dışsal çabaların sorunların çözümünde yeterli olmadığı, artık regeneration yani yükseköğretim sisteminin kendisini yeniden üretecek içsel bir dönüşüme ihtiyaç duyduğu ortaya konulacaktır.
