Abstract

Mehmet Şemseddin (Ulusoy) Efendi was a poem, who was one of the most significant representatives of the late Religious-Sufi Turkish Literature. He lived between 1867 and 1936 and left 62 works behind him. One of the most important books of author was his divan called “Güftȃr-ı Şemsȋ”. Poem Mehmet Şemseddin (Ulusoy) Efendi, who was one of the crucial sufis of his era and a follower of Halvetiyye order, was the last sheikh of Niyȃzȋ-i Mısrȋ Dervish Lodge in Bursa. In this article about Güftȃr-ı Şemsȋ, the form and content of the book is analyzed. It is thought that this study is important both in terms of the history Classical Turkish Literature and the history of late Religious-Sufi Turkish Literature as well as History of Turkish Sufism.

Özet

Mehmet Şemseddin (Ulusoy) Efendi Dinȋ-Tasavvufȋ Türk Edebiyatı’nın son devir önemli temsilcilerinden olan bir şairdir. 1867-1936 yılları arasında yaşamış olan şair 62 eser kaleme almış bir yazardır. Müellifin bu kitaplarının en önemlilerinden biri şüphesiz “Güftȃr-ı Şemsȋ” adlı dȋvȃnıdır. Yaşadığı dönemin önemli mutasavvıflarından ve Halvetiyye tarikatına mensup olan şair Mehmet Şemseddin (Ulusoy) Efendi, Bursa’daki Niyȃzȋ-i Mısrȋ Dergȃhı’nın son şeyhidir. Güftȃr-ı Şemsȋ ile ilgili bu makalemizde, eserin şekil ve muhtevȃsı üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın, hem Klasik Türk Edebiyatı Tarihi açısından, hem de son dönem Dinȋ-Tasavvufȋ Türk Edebiyatı Tarihi ve Türk Tasavvuf Tarihi açısından önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.
