Reactions of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivars against bean rust (Uromyces appendiculatus (Pers.: Pers.) Unger) and efficacy of some fungicides

Abstract
In this study, the reactions of some bean cultivars were determined under controlled conditions against 10 isolates of bean rust (Uromyces appendiculatus) collected from Bursa province in 2004. In addition, the efficacy of 100, 50 and 25 % of label dose of registered fungicides (Sulphur, Mancozeb, Propineb) and Captan that was not registered against bean rust was evaluated under controlled conditions. International cultivars containing different resistance genes, Aurora (Ur-3), CNC (?), Great Northern 1140 (Ur-7), Mexico 309 (Ur-5), PC-50 (Ur-9, Ur-12), PI 181996 (Ur-11), PI 260418 (?) and Redlands Pioneer (?) were immune to all tested isolates, while the other 3 cultivars Early Gallatin (Ur-4), Golden Gate Wax (Ur-6) and Montcalm (?) were susceptible. Among the commercial cultivars, Alman Ayşe, was highly resistant and moderately resistant, and the other 9 cultivars were susceptible. The efficacy of Captan, Sulphur, Mancozeb and Propineb at all tested doses was not significantly different.

Bu çalışmada, Bursa ilinden 2004 yılında toplanan Fasulye Pası (Uromyces appendiculatus)’nın 10 izolatına karşı bazı fasulye çeşitlerinin kontrollü koşullardaki reaksiyonları araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, Fasulye Pası’na karşı ruhsatlı fungisitlerden Kükürt, Mancozeb ve Propineb ile ruhsatlı olmayan Captan’ın tam, yarım ve çeyrek dozlarının etkisi kontrollü koşullarda belirlenmiştir. Farklı dayanıklılık genlerini içeren uluslararası çeşitlerden Aurora (Ur-3), CNC (?), Great Northern 1140 (Ur-7), Mexico 309 (Ur-5), PC-50 (Ur-9, Ur-12), PI 181996 (Ur-11), PI 260418 (?) ve Redlands Pioneer (?) denenen tüm izolatlara karşı bağışık, diğer 3 çeşit Early Gallatin (Ur-4), Golden Gate Wax (Ur-6) ve Montcalm (?)’ın duyarlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ticari çeşitlerden Alman Ayşe yüksek ve orta derecede dayanıklı, diğer 9 çeşit duyarlıdır. Captan, Kükürt, Mancozeb ve Propineb’in denenen tüm dozları istatistiki olarak aynı etkiyi göstermiştir.
