Posterior screw-plate fixation in traumatic spondylolisthesis of axis "Case report"

Abstract

Traumatic spondylolisthesis of axis (Hangman's fracture) is not a rare pathology. Although it is a very unstable fracture, healing can be achieved by conservative treatment. In case of rejection ofinedical treatment or persisting instability following Halo brace, surgery can be a necessity for the treatment of this pathology. In this presentation,surgical treatment of hangman's fracture was discussed reviewing the literature and posterior C2-C3 transpedicular plate screw fixation is emphasised as the best approach for treatment.

Özet

Asılan âdâm kırığı üst servikal bölgenin nadir olmayan kırıklardandın Son derece instabil kırıklar olup konservatif tedaviye iyi yanıt verirler. Konservatif tedaviyi reddeden, cevap vermeyen vakalarda cerrahi müdahale endikasyonu vardır. Burada sunulan olguda asılan adam kırığı cerrahi tedavisi literatürde gözden geçirilerek tartışılmış ve posterior:C23 plak vida fiksasyonunun zor amayapılması gereken müdahale olduğu vurgulanmıştır.
