The instrumentalisation of religion: The case of PKK

Abstract
This article consists of three main parts. In the first part of this article, main functions of the religion in the life of the Kurdish community are discussed. Afterwards, the meaning of the religion as a social instrumant for the PKK is historically analiyzed by referring to the PKKs own publications. The conclusion part of this study is utilized as a resolution advisory. In this last part, the recommendations and counter-measures against the instrumentalization processes of the religion by the PKK are mentioned.

Bu makalede önce dinin Kürtlerin hayatında oynadığı role değinilmiş, ardından da tarihsel olarak PKKnın dini araçsallaştırma faaliyetleri ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuç kısmında da PKKnın dini araçsallaştırmasına karşın yürütülmesi gereken çalışmalar ifade edilmiştir.
