Familial aggregation in hematologic cancers: Report of three cases

Abstract
The occurence of hematological malignancies in families has been reported for over 50 years. The occurence of familial hematological malignancies could be the result of chance, germline mutations in tumor suppressor genes or protooncogenes, or the inheritance of predisposing alleles or mutations that interact with environmental factors or aging effects to result in accumulated genetic injury sufficient to cause the cancer. We here report 3 siblings who have been diagnosed with familial hematologic cancer between 1995 and 2006 in our department are presented.

Ailesel hematolojik kanserlerin gelişimi yaklaşık 50 yıldır bildirilmektedir. Ailesel malign hematolojik hastalıklar şans eseri, tümör supresör genler veya proto-onkogenlerde germline mutasyonlar veya çevresel faktörlerle etkileşen predispoze alel veya mutasyonların kalıtımı veya kansere yol açan genetik hasar birikimi ile sonuçlanan yaşlanma etkileri ile oluşabilir. Bu yazıda, 1995-2006 tarihleri arasında kliniğimizde ailesel hematolojik kanser tanısı alan üç vaka sunulmuştur.
