THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE LITERAL AND CULTURAL APPROACHES TO UNDERSTANDING OF QUR’AN IN TERMS OF ADAPTING TO SOCIAL CHANGE

Kur’an’ı Anlamaya Yönelik Literal ve Kültürel Yaklaşımların Sosyal Değişmeye Uyum Açısından İşlevselliği*

Abstract

In this article it is emphasized the functionality of the shape of two main approaches to understanding of Qur’an in terms of adapting to social change. In adapting to social change, it is impotant the dialogic relationship; otherwise it is not possible the interaction. Therefore the literal approach exhibits an important functiality in determination of the objective/essence state of religion. In adapting to social cahange, the cultural reading exhibits the equally important functionality. In this case, while the literal approache represents the aspect of religion that returns its roots, the cultural approach also represents its branches and leaves that opened the future

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Kur’an’ı anlamaya yönelik olarak sergilenen temel iki yaklaşım biçiminin sosyal değişmeye uyum açısından işlevselliği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Sosyal değişmeye uyumda diyalojik ilişki önem arz etmektedir; aksi takdirde etkileşim mümkün olmaz. Bu nedenle literal yaklaşım dinin nesnel/öz halinin tespitinde önemli işlevsellik sergilemektedir. Değişime uyumda aynı derecede önemli işlevselliği ise kültürel okuma biçimi sergilemektedir. Bu durumda literal yaklaşım dinin köklere bakan yönünü temsil ederken, kültürel yaklaşım da onun geleceğe açılan dal ve yapraklarını temsil etmiş olmaktadır
