Uterine rupture with the use of misoprostol for second trimester pregnancy termination in a woman with a prior cesarean delivery: Case report

Abstract
Previous history of cesarean section is not a contraindication for the usage of misoprostol with the aim of termination of pregnancy. However, caution is required due to the higher risk of uterine rupture regardless of gestational age. We report a case of uterine rupture with the use of misoprostol for second trimester pregnancy termination due to fetal cardiac anomaly in a patient with a prior cesarean delivery.

Eski sezaryen seksiyo öyküsü olması gebelik terminasyonu amacıyla misoprostol kullanımı için bir kontrendikasyon değildir. Bununla birlikte, bu hastalarda uterin rüptür riskinin yüksek olması nedeniyle dikkatli olunmalıdır. Bu yazıda, geçirilmiş sezaryen öyküsü bulunan bir hastada, fetal kardiyak anomali nedeniyle uygulanan ikinci trimester gebelik terminasyonu sırasında meydana gelen uterin rüptür anlatılmaktadır.
