Determination of Internal and External Egg Quality Characteristics of the White Pure Lines Layers and Their Hybrids at the Poultry Research Institute

Abstract

The research was carried out to determine the egg quality characteristics of white layer pure lines namely Black, Blue, Brown, Maroon and D-229 and their hybrids at the Poultry Research Institute. The research was started when the hens reached 50% egg production age and carried out until the age of 72 weeks. Egg weight, shape index, shell thickness, shell strength, Hough unit, albumen and yolk index and meat - blood spot were determined for each group at 50% randomly selected eggs at 4 weeks intervals. It has been determined that there were significant differences among the groups in terms of egg quality characteristics. As a result of the research, it was determined that Brown × D-229 genotype was superior in terms of egg weight and meat-blood spot, Maroon × D-229 genotype was found superior in terms of other characteristics.

Özet

Araştırma Tavukçuluk Araştırma Enstitüsünde bulunan Black, Blue, Brown, Maroon ve D-229 beyaz yumurtacı saf hatlar ve Black, Blue, Brown, Maroon hattının D-229 hattı ile melezlenmesiyle elde edilen genotiplerin yumurta kalite özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amacı ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma tavukların %50 verim yaşına gelmelerinden itibaren 72 haftalık yaşa kadar sürdürülmüştür. Her gruptan 4 haftalık periyotlarla %50 oranında rastgele seçilen yumurtalarda ağırlık, şekil indeksi, kabuk kalınlığı, kabuk kırılma direnci, Haugh birimi, ak ve sarı indeksi ile et-kan lekesi oranı özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Üzerinde durulan yumurta kalite özellikleri bakımından gruplar arasında önemli farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, yumurta ağırlığı ve et-kan lekesi oranı bakımından Brown × D-229 genotipinin, diğer özellikler bakımından ise Maroon × D-229 genotipinden elde edilen yumurtaların daha üstün bir yapıya sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir.
