Abstract

A fifty five year old female patient with the complaints of nipple discharge, mass and pain for 3-4 months in the right breast was admitted to general surgery department. Modified radical mastectomy (MRM) was planned. As the patient had respiratory failure, she was operated on under thoracic epidural anesthesia. Four days later she was discharged without any problem. In this presentation, we aimed to evaluate the thoracic epidural anesthesia (TEA) procedure in MRM.

Özet

Elli beş yaşında bayan olgu, 3-4 ay önce sağ memede başlayan akıntı, şişlik ve ağrı şikayetleriyle genel cerrahi servisine yatırıldı. Modifiye radikal mastektomi (MRM) operasyonu planlandı. Solunum problemleri nedeniyle olgu torakal epidural anestezi (TEA) altında öpere edildi. 4 gün sonra hiçbir problemle karşılaşılmadan taburcu edildi. Bu sunumuzda MRM operasyonlarında TEA uygulamasını gözden geçirmeyi amaçladık.
