Epidural emphysema and pneumomediastinum in an infant with severe combined immunodeficiency

Ağır kombine immunyetmezlikli bir infantta pnömoniye bağlı epidural amfizem

Abstract

Nearly all of the reports about pneumomediastinum associated with pneumonia have been conducted in adults as pneumomediastinum was uncommon in pediatric age group. This case report is described an infant with pneumo¬nia complicated with pneumomediastinum and epidural emphysema. Her original disease is a severe combine immunedeficiency (SOD). Another reason to provide this case report is that epidural emphysema or pneumorachis, associated with pneumonia and pneumomediastinum is a rare condition.

Özet

Pnömoniye bağlı gelişen pnomomediastenler hakkında var olan bildirilerin hemen hepsi yetişkinlere aittir ve pediatrik yaş grubunda nadirdir. Bu vaka takdiminde pnömomediasten ve epidural amfizemie komplike olmuş bir pnömonisi olan infant sunuldu. 8 aylik kız çocuğunun altta yatan hastalığı şiddetli kombine immun yetmezlikti. Olgu sunumu yapılmasının bir diğer nedeni de pnomoni ve pnömomediastene bağlı epidural amfizem (pnomorasis) gelişiminin nadir olmasıdır.
