INVESTIGATION OF MORAL DECISION MAKING ATTITUDES OF STUDENT ATHLETES ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

BAZI DEĞİŞKENLERE GÖRE ÖĞRENCİ SPORCULARIN AHLAKİ KARAR ALMA TUTUMLARIN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the moral decision-making attitudes of student athletes according to the some variables (gender, age groups, sports experience, club license and parents doing licensed sports were found to be). Children (5th and 6th grade students), Junior (7th and 8th grade students), B Youth (9th and 10th grade students), and A Youth (11th and 12th grade students) age categories and those who participated in school sports 44.7% (180) female and 55.3% (223) male 403 students in total In our study, developed by Lee et al. (2007) and Gürpınar (2014) 's validity and reliability study, the "Moral Decision Making Attitudes Scale for Infrastructure Sports" was used. Data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0. According to some variables, Kruskal Wallis and Man Whitney U tests were used to determine whether there is a difference in the moral decision-making attitudes of student athletes. As a result, it was found that variables such as gender, age category, sports experience, club license and parents doing licensed sports were significant in the Moral Decision-Making Attitudes Scale in Infrastructure Sports” sub-dimensions.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı bazı değişkenlere göre (cinsiyet, yaş grubu, sporculuk tecrübesi, kulüp lisansının olup olmaması ve ebeveynlerin lisanslı spor geçmişinin olup olmaması) öğrenci sporcuların ahlaki karar alma tutumlarının incelenmesidir. Çalışma grubu ortaokul ve lise düzeyinde okul sporlarına katılım gösteren Küçükler (5. ve 6. sınıf öğrencileri), Yıldızlar (7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencileri), B Genç (9. ve 10. sınıf öğrencileri) ve A Genç (11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencileri) yaş kategorilerinde %44,7’si (180) Kadın ve %55,3’ü (223) erkek toplamda 403 öğrenci sporcudan oluşmaktadır. Çalışmamızda Lee ve ark.’nın (2007) geliştirdiği ve Gürpınar ‘ın (2014) Türkçe geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik çalışmasını gerçekleştirdiği “Altyapı Sporlarında Ahlaki Karar Alma Tutumları Ölçeği” (Attitudes to moral decision-making in youth sport questionnaire - AMDYSQ) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri SPSS 13.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Bazı değişkenlere göre öğrenci sporcuların ahlaki karar alma tutumlarında farklılık olup olmadığının tespit edilmesi için Kruskal Wallis ve Man Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak cinsiyet, yaş kategorisi, sporculuk tecrübesi, kulüp lisansının olması ve ebeveynlerin lisanslı spor yapması gibi değişkenlerin “Altyapı Sporlarında Ahlaki Karar Alma Tutumları Ölçeği” alt boyutlarında anlamlı çıktığı tespit edilmiştir.
