Abstract
A 75-years old male patient was admitted to our center with complaints of dyspnea, cough and sputum. Computed tomography of thorax demonstrated a mass lesion in apicoposterior segment of left upper lobe. While fiberoptic bronchoscope revealed a normal appearance in left bronchial system, the stenosis and hyperemia were detected in posterior segment of right upper lobe. The pathologic examination of catheter aspiration and lavage materials obtained from posterior segment of right upper lobe was reported as squamous cell carcinoma. The pathologic diagnosis of computed tomography guided transthoracic fine needle aspiration material obtained from the mass in the left upper lobe was adenocarcinoma. Because it is rarely seen, the case having synchronous lung cancer is presented in this paper.
