Enteric cyst of mediastinum: Case report

Abstract

Enteric cysts are rare congenital lesions which are the results of abnormal embryologic development. Commonly it can be associated with other congenital lesions. A four-month old baby who referred to our clinic with chest x ray and tomography which shows mediastinal cystic lesion. Also he had limb and palat cleft, hemivertebra and cleft in thorasic vertebra. With right thoracotomy, cystic lesion was excised. In the early postoperative period we have faced with cylothorax and reoperation and ligation of thoracic duct was made. Histopathologic report was enteric cyst. The case and complication was discussed with the review of literature.

Özet

Enterik kistler; anormal embriyonal orjinli konjenital lezyonlardır. Sıklıkla diğer konjenital anomaliler eşlik edebilir. Kliniğimize refere edilen 4 aylık erkek bebeğin postero anterior (PA) akciğer grafisi ve toraks bilgisayarlı tomografisinde (BT) mediastinal kistik lezyon mevcuttu. Yarık dudak damak ve torakal vertebral kleft ve hemivertebra eşlik eden lezyonlardı. Sağ torakotomi ile kistik lezyon total eksize edildi. Postoperatif şilotoraks gelişen olgumuza, reoperasyonla duktus torasikus ligasyonu yapıldı. Histopatolojik tanısı enterik kist olarak raporlanan olgumuz ve oluşan komplikasyonu, literatür bilgileri gözden geçirilerek tartışıldı.
