Abstract

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a soft tissue sarcoma rarely associated with lung. The most common form is storiform pleomorphic type. The treatment is complete surgical resection. The survival is directly related to the size of tumor. In this report, a fifty two-year-old male patient presented with MFH located paravertebraly in the right hemithorax was discussed. The tumor was completely resected and than radiotherapy was planned. He has been tumor free during seven month follow-up.

Özet

Malign fibröz histiyositoma (MFH) akciğer tutulumu oldukça nadir olan yumuşak doku sarkomudur. En sık storiform pleomorfik tipi görülür. Tedavisi komplet cerrahi rezeksiyondur. Tümör çapı büyüdükçe sağkalım oranı azalır. Bu yayında sağ akciğerde paravertebral yerleşimli MFH ile başvuran, 52 yaşında bir erkek hasta sunuldu. Komplet cerrahi rezeksiyon yapılan hastaya radyoterapi planlandı. Hasta yedi aydır hastalıksız olarak takip edilmektedir.
