Abstract
Tracheobronchopathia Osteochondrodysplastica (TBO) is characterized by variable numbers of irregular, bony, and cartilaginous excrescences of the tracheal and main bronchus mucosa, covered by normal epithelium. The disease is usually asymptomatic. Two cases examined with fiberoptic bronchoscopy for detecting the cause of hemoptysis and lower pulmonary infection were diagnosed as TBO by the biopsy specimens of airway mucosa studied histopathologically. Because of the two cases with TBO which was rarely seen presented with the review of the literature.
Özet
Trakeobronkopatia osteokondrodisplastika (TBO), trakea ve ana bronşların mukozasında üzeri normal epitelle kaplı değişik sayıda irregüler kemiksi ve kıkırdak benzeri nodüler lezyonlarla karakterizedir. Genellikle asemptomatik seyreder. Hemoptizi ve alt solunum yolu infeksiyonu etyolojisini araştırmak amacıyla fiberoptik bronkoskopi (FOB) uyguladığımız iki olgu, hava yollarında izlenen lezyonlardan elde edilen forseps biyopsi örneklerinin histopatolojik incelenmesiyle TBO tanısı aldı. Nadir görülen TBO, olgularımız nedeniyle, literatür ışığında gözden geçirilerek sunuldu.
