THE WOMEN PERCEPTION IN LÂMİ’Î’S TEXTS (MESNEVÎ)

Abstract

The society has attributed various values to woman and man who have different nature biologically. These values can be change from society to society and from period to period. Turkish society has given miscellaneous functions to woman and man in the result of socio-cultural, political, economic and religious changes. The woman has mainly affected from these changes in comparison with man. The glance at woman in the texts of Classical Turkish literature improving the influence of sedentary civilization and Islâmic culture has been usually perceived negatively. Moreover, it has been paid attention that the sample texts’ contexts must be scrutinized in interpretation process. Lâmi’î Çelebi (d.938/1532), has been one of the most frequently referred names to exemplify the negative glance at woman in Classical Turkish literature. It is known that Lâmi’î uses these woman types to give advice. His mesnevî Veyse and Râmin is a text that include the woman types different from tradition. In this study, Lâmi’î’s love mesnevîs with two heroes, Ferhâd and Şîrîn, Salâmân and Absâl, Vâmık and Azrâ, Veyse and Râmin will be compared and his woman perception will be determined by means of reached outcomes.

Özet

Biyolojik olarak farklı yaratılışlara sahip kadın ve erkeğe toplum da farklı değerler atfetmiştir. Bu değerler toplumdan topluma, dönemden döneme değişebilir. Türk toplumu geçirdiği sosyo-kültürel, siyasal, ekonomik, dinî değişimlerin sonucunda kadına ve erkeğe çeşitli görevler yüklemiştir. Bu değişimlerden erkeğe nispeten kadın daha çok etkilenmiştir. Yerleşik medeniyet ve İslâm kültürünün etkisinde gelişen Klâsik Türk edebiyatına ait eserlerde kadına bakış genellikle olumsuz olarak algılanmıştır. Ancak böyle bir konuda yorum yapılırken ele alınan örneklerin bağlamından koparılıp koparılmadığına dikkat edilmelidir. Lâmi’î Çelebi (ö.938/1532), Klâsik Türk edebiyatında kadına olumsuz bakışı örneklendirmek için sık başvurulan isimlerden biridir. Lâmi’î’nin özellikle bu kadın tiplerini nasihat vermek amacıyla eserlerinde işlediği bilinmektedir. Kaleme aldığı Veyse vü Râmin mesnevîsi ise gelenekten farklı kadın tiplerinin çizildiği bir eserdir. Bu çalışmada Lâmi’î’nin çift kahramanlı aşk mesnevîleri olan Ferhâd u Şîrîn, Salâmân ve Absâl, Vâmık u Azrâ ve Veyse vü Râmin mesnevîleri karşılaştırılacak, ulaşılan sonuçlar üzerinden kadının nasıl algılandığı tespit edilecektir.
